Little Stars Group 1 - ages 2 & 3, 30 minutes
A pre-school dance class. Also includes singing with actions, storytime, imaginative play and props such as shakers, ribbons and teddies. Children learn and practice basic dance steps such as skipping, galloping and swaying. Parent and child dance together.
Little Stars Group 2 - ages 3 - 5, 30 minutes
A pre-school dance class. Also includes singing with actions, storytime, imaginative play and props such as shakers, ribbons and teddies. Children learn and practice basic dance steps such as skipping, galloping and swaying. Children participate without parents.
Creative Dance - ages 4 - 11, 35 mins
Good for children who prefer a class with less structure and more creativity. Classes include a range of styles, music and props. Students learn fundamentals in dance technique and explore concepts such as space, speed and levels.
Primary Ballet - ages 4 - 7, 35 minutes
Our ballet classes aim to engage children in the art, wonder and technique of ballet. We follow the British Ballet Organisation syllabus and students have the option to take in-house assessments. Classes use a range of props to make exercises exciting and ballet stories to spark imagination. We generally recommend this class for reception - year 2.
Primary Street Dance - ages 4 - 7, 35 minutes
A highly energetic and dynamic class! Students learn funky moves to the latest chart songs. All classes start with a good warm up and include important street technique and movements. Classes focus on creating dances and students will have the opportunity to develop their own choreography.
Primary Musical Theatre - ages 5 - 7, 35 minutes
Our musical theatre classes start with vocal and physical warm ups that help develop singing and performance techniques. Students learn classic and modern musical theatre songs (and sometimes songs from other genres) with accompanying movement/dancing and character portrayal. Students have the option to take in-house assessment
Grade 1-3 Ballet - Minimum of age 7, 45 minutes
Our ballet classes aim to engage children in the art, wonder and technique of ballet. We follow the British Ballet Organisation syllabus and students have the option to take in-house assessments. Classes use a range of different exercises and choreography to develop their technique and skills. Grade 3 classes start pre-pointe work with soft pointe shoes in preparation for pointe in the future. We generally recommend grade 1 from year 3.
Junior Street - Ages 7+ (usually from school year 3), 45 minutes
A highly energetic and dynamic class! Students learn a variety of different moves from the different umbrellas of Street dance, such as hip-hop, breakdance, bopping and more . All classes start with a good warm up and include important street technique and movements. Classes focus on creating both group dances and solo and students will have the opportunity to develop their own choreography.
Junior Musical Theatre - Ages 7+ (usually school year 3,+), 45 minutes
Our musical theatre classes start with vocal and physical warm ups that help develop singing and performance techniques. Students learn classic and modern musical theatre songs (and sometimes songs from other genres) with accompanying movement/dancing and character portrayal. This can be as part of a group and as a Solo performer. Students have the option to take part in-house assessments.
Junior Contemporary - Ages 7+, 45 minutes
Our contemporary classes aim to engage children in the art of contemporary dance. The benefits of this improves stamina, flexibility and co-ordination as well as spatial awareness and creative thinking. Classes use a range of different exercises and choreography to develop their technique and skills.
Lower Senior Musical Theatre - Ages 10+, 50 minutes
Our musical theatre classes start with vocal and physical warm ups that help develop singing and performance techniques. Students learn classic and modern musical theatre songs (and sometimes songs from other genres) with accompanying movement/dancing and character portrayal. This can be as part of a group and as a Solo performer. Students have the option to take part in-house assessments.
